With every new year comes promises to self and others that seem to be made then quickly broken. The term “Resolution” is often used with a cringe and a groan.
This year I have noticed first hand that it is not the resolution that is important but really the time you allow yourself to make it. How often have you said, I will blank out this time to: Read a book, Think about where I want to be in the next 3, 6 12 months or Focus on that thing that is so important to me. Oftem some crisis will make these things happen or they slip by just like that New Years promise.
I find emergencies seem to cramp the essential time we should all take to connect with our being and once lost that time is gone forever. We need thsi time to doa sanity check on whewre we are is where we want tro be and is still keeping us on target for our future destination.
Just like an autopilot setting in an aeroplane, tacking so slightly to keep on the destination course. We are very much like the businesses we work for.
Take 2 mins now to brainstorm some items that you are keen to get started on and then tomorrow pick one and start working on it! It can be for you personally or at work.
